Most people start websites for their business with no specific aim in mind.

“We need a website,” they say. “Everyone else has one,” they say. What they fail to ask is why do we need a website? And what do we aim to achieve with this website we are creating?

Start with good habits

Do I want to reach more people? Do I want to sell more of my service or my products? There are a lot more questions you need to figure out before you embark on designing a website.

Doing this at the beginning, before you start developing the site is tedious. It’s hard work. It’s time-consuming.

But once you’ve done it. It’s going to save you so much time and energy down the line you’ll be thankful you went through the process.

But there’s a way for you to make them stay forever. And that’s with an email list. If you do not ask the people who visit your website at any point in time to share information with you, you’re making a cardinal sin.

There are lots of ways to go about getting the email address of your visitors.

The simplest way possible is to ask your visitors to join your email list.

This way is super boring and old but it is still being used because it works. You can use the boring method and get results.

Or….

You can rise a step above that. Before asking people to share their email address with you. How about offering them something valuable first.

Maybe people go to your website to learn about Yoga. In that case, you can offer them a simple pdf guide with some simple yoga routines they can follow.
